Baby / Baba

Soms sien mens iets wat jou so aangryp dat jy dit wil vaslê en bewaar. Ek het 'n foto van die mooiste babaseuntjie gesien en dit het my so aangegryp, dat ek dit net eenvoudig moes teken. Een van die lekkerste projekte wat ek nog aangepak het.

Sometimes  you see something that takes your breath away and you desperately want to keep the memory.  I saw a photo of the most beautiful baby boy and his face haunted me for days.  It was begging me to try and draw it.  At last I gave in to temptation and decided to give it a try.  It was one of the most rewarding drawings I ever tried.

I am a teacher of junior primary children 8 - 9 year olds, mother of two teenage daughters who are my pride and joy. I write about all things in life, but mostly for the kids. I already published one book and hope to have more in the new year. I wrote on Mabooki and Woes under the name Gawelina, but I publish my books under my real name. Ek is 'n kindertuin onderwyseres by 'n privaat skool. Huidiglik is my klas die Gr.2's en Gr. 3's. Ek skryf oor alles en nog wat, maar hoofsaaklik vir die kabouters. Ek het alreeds een boek gepubliseer en hoop om in die nuwe jaar nog op die tafel te hê. Ek het my werk op Mabooki en Woes geplaas onder die naam, Gawelina, maar my boeke word onder my regte naan gepuliseer.
